I called into Cairns Jayco this morning to buy some bits and pieces. I took the opportunity to take a look at the latest models. I was impressed with the over all quality. Not so impressed with the fit of the seat back upholstery.

Underneath they have tidied up the plumbing with pipes now run thru the chassis and behind water tank. Much better. I notice they still have a wiring junction box on the right hand side towards the front. It is now covered with a piece of formed black chequer plate unlike my 2013 Outback with a bit of bent sheet metal.

A friend recently told me that the wiring is now all pre made looms with snap connectors as in motor vehicles? My 2013 Outback is a jumble of wires held together with screw connectors such as you find in the building trade. Can anyone tell me if this is correct?

We currently have the 16.51.3 Outback. My wife looked at the next size up with cafe seating and washing machine. She has started making noises about an up grade.

Was in Cairns this morning.
My van had those building trade connectors, removed mine as there was a voltage drop through them, the screws cut through the wiring,
I soldered them together, no more heated terminals.
Cheers
