New Regulations for LED Lightbars

I spotted this from another forum but here is the updated regulations for the ever increasing popularity of Led lightbars.

Fog and Driving light Regulations

Its good to see the authorities keeping up with our evolving technology.
This link applies to Victoria only sorry I'm not sure what applies for other states and territories.

@cruza driver, it is good to see the authorities with some common sense and keeping up with technology.

Speaking to a friend who is a Highway Patrol officer with VicPol, they are actively going after people who use have their fog or driving lights (front & rear) on when there is not "abnormal water conditions", along with vehicles retro-fitted with HID globes.

I was aware of changes in other States that in the interim would allow single lightbars to be fitted but this is the first time I've see this curious statement.
"However, the Commonwealth has commenced issuing approvals for the certification of new vehicles fitted with LED light bars that are not fitted in pairs in order to respond to this new technology. "
Why the specific mention of "New vehicles"?
