Hi all,

Just joined up to get ideas on what others ore doing with their expandas. We recently bought a 6 month old 17.56-2 OB and we have fully optioned it since owning it.

We have ripped out all the charging gear and put replacement stuff in with battery monitoring, solar and 330ah batttery supply. Replaced the 3 way fridge with a compressor one and installed a truma space heater. We also added a custom box to the front complete with jerry can holders.

Heaps more has been done including removing the orange stripe on the outside and replacing with green to match the ski boat

We travel in convoy (wife tows van and I tow boat) most weekends to different ski spots.

Thanks everyone, I tow the boat as it is heavier wider and worth more then the van. The wife has a lot less experiance towing and she feels more comfortable towing the van And the van has bigger and better brakes. The boat weighs in at around 3.3t when full of gear and fuel

Is deceiving, the cruiser was parked in a gully and the suspension is all twisted up! It's actually got air bags in the rear end and sits quite high normally but I can see where you are coming from!

Welcome Andrew and to your trooper wife. Who tows the van. Gee that's good.
Nice setup.
Just a question, what happen to old air con, was it cactus, would've been under warranty if the van was 6 mths old.
What part of Brissie are you in?
Cheers
Deano

Hi deano,

We are on the north side of brissy near the pine river. Nothing was wrong with the a/c. We just wanted the truma gas space heater installed so we had toasty warm nights when free camping. I installed this unit in my old flamingo and when I sold that I pulled it out. Once you have had one of these things, you would not be without one again.
cheers

Hi Andrew,
Sounds the go if our Dometic ever packed it in. Touch wood.
Any chance of getting close up pics of your draw bar setup with Jerry cans etc.
Thanks
Deano

Hi Andrew,
Sorry, don't know how I missed your intro! And what an intro it is!
Love the whole set up. Your ski boat is insane. Must be worth twice that of the Expanda, if not more.
My husband also an Andrew used to wakeboard professionally (some 15 years ago though), so he'll be green with envy when I show him your pic. Very nice indeed!
Love the colour matched decal too!
Cant wait to see more pics!
