Hi there everyone. We are total newbies to this forum (indeed any forum) but we've found other member's input at Expandas downunder incredibly helpful regarding our own Jayco purchase. I'm Allan and my trusty companion (wife) of 32 years is Carolyn. We have loved camping all our lives and have taken the plunge in purchasing a Taj Mahal after selling our 2004 Outback Expanda after12 years of solid use to a delightful young couple from Lakes Entrance. We are super excited and even our 3 adult kids who do their own style of camping now, are really excited for us. Sorry but no pics of the van yet because we haven't got it! Now the search for a ute to pull it...our old faithful Paj isn't up for the task.

Welcome Outback heaven. I am considering upgrading from our Expanda in another 18 months time to the Starcraft but have plenty of time to shop around. The Colorado LTZ is great value ATM and has 500NM ( industry leading ) of torque from the 6 speed auto. Hot chip and boost controller can take that upto 595NM or you can back it down to 550NM in seconds. I upgraded mine with a slight economy lift at 40mm, added a snorkel, high flow air filter, wheels AT's, nudge bar, lights, and the Redarc TowPro that is just brilliant. Had it all mounted in behind the panels with a small single penetration hole. Easy to pull out when l trade the car. The big truck gets 9.6lph average and around 14-15lph with my 2.5T van on the back.
