New Child Restraint Anchor Points in Vehicle

Has anyone had new anchor points installed and have any recommendations, we have been quoted $600 per point to have them installed in a new 79 series Landcruiser. Seems like alot?

That would be about right as the floor in the 79 is only strengthened for 2 points, so extra strenthening need to be fitted, it's not a simple case of drill a hole and bolt

Thanks. We only need one point fitted, as it doesn't have any, so should they be able to fit up to 2 without extra strengthening?

Not sure, I thought and this is only from memory, that there were 2 points available, one behind both the left and right back seats, but I could well be wrong

Where $400+ each depending on vehicle when we looked at 7 seaters most do not have points in the rear so had to factor that in.
Yes has to be floor strengthened. Have you looked inside to see if any roof anchors for them or behind seat if hidden.
Most salesman might not know as probably not the first thing asked about in a 70 series
