Hi everyone,
We have decided this Xmas we would do something different and head inland from the coast, which will be different for us, we are planning to head to the Murray around cobram, free camping on the river bank the week in between Xmas and new year, i realise everywhere will be busy, but will it be that busy that we won't get a spot, for all you Victorians is there any secret knowledge or info I should be aware of. We did a trip to the Murray at yarrawonga earlier this year and it was stunning, can't wait to get back to the river

Prime spots will be scarce but plenty of room for everybody. Better to set up away from the herds if you want some peace. Still only a 5 minute walk to the river to swim, fish etc.

There is an awesome spot there that isn't normally as busy as the rest. It's my preference but I have noticed it getting increasingly busier each year.

It is on the other side of the river (NSW) and takes an extra 30 mins to get too but it's worth it.

We are looking at going to quirks beach which is on the nsw side or bourkes beach on the vic side and a bit further up the river, but nothing set in concrete, just going to drive n see what happens,
