We ended up at Eldee Station when we arrived at Broken Hill during school holidays and everything was booked out. Bit of a drive out of town, you drive through Silvertown where mad max was filmed then along about 10-15 mind of corrugated dirt road then you are there. As we drove onto the property a large group of feral pigs ran across the road. The owner was friendly and as we arrived after dark he just showed us where to set up and fix up the money in the morning. The guy from 4wd TV was there trialling the Colorado wagon so we got to see it before it was released.(we we there two years ago)
We only stayed one night which was a shame as the owner was telling us about the 4wd tracks on the property which sounded great.
Amenities where clean and good condition. From memory there were 6 powered sites, some rooms near the amenities and they did meals in the reception/dining area.
In short it was a long drive from broken hill for one night, but if we were in that neck of the woods again we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
