OK so we have had the Expanda for nearly four weeks and have packed her up and done a few of the Mods others have done. We named her ELUNEKE using the first two letters of each of our childrens first names, except the first two as a double LL did not look right. The LEDS are in, thanks Jim and Tab. The sliding drawer is in the small cupboard. We put space saver coat hangers in the wardrobe which gives hanging space for about 40 tops (bought off E-Bay) The outdoor shower set up is a Primus 12V shower costing about $20 I think from Bunnings ( We used this shower on Fraser and worked really well plus it is alot cheaper than the one from jayco). My wife added the fire Blanket just in case, the last thing is the Do not overtake turning vehicle which is a must if you over 7m including the towing vehicle. this means you will not be at fault if you stray into the other lane when turning or going round a roundabout . 015.JPG016.JPG017.JPG021.JPGIMG_0216.JPG

We did however have one issue with the LEDs and that was a couple of them came away from the backing so if your lights are getting hot and you have LEDs then just check they are not touching the light cover. all fixed in a couple of seconds though.

Mine are doing the same on all of them I will try with a bit of 3m Tape first and if no good I will stick them in with a couple of dabs of Neutral cure silicone that should be able to stand the heat and be not too hard to remove if the lights should pack it in

I like the sticker, i might get one of those too. Safety first:cheer2:

I had one of those shower with my old Hawk. A word of warning i don't think they are designed for warm/hot water, i found that out the hard way and after going throug 4 in 12 months i purchase a proper pump for $80 and used all the hoses etc from the cheap kit and ended up with a reliable shower. Still have it 3 yrs later for camping only trips, never missed a beat.

love, love love the sliding shelf, can you please post a pic of it from side on as I am wanting to do the same. That is the biggest waste of space that cupboard and you can still gain access via the cushion back at the table. Where sdid you purchase the sliding shelf from, how much was it and what do i ask for?
Cheers Linda
PS I am also doing the LED once I get my butt into gear and pay jimtab for them....:cheer2:

Here is the link for the shelf. http://caravansplus.com.au/catalog/index.php?cPath=35_989_549

We bought the smallest one and that is too big for the space so as I am no good at welding I got someone to cut out a section and reweld so it would fit. the welding cost $50 and I think the shelf was about $75 with postage. Also it was so fiddly to fit. I was going through the hole in the dinnette and my wife was holding the shelf. We finally worked out a realy simple way to fix it. We placed four DVDcases along the shelf so they were two high. this gave the perfect height. then we placed the fixing bracket as far back as they would go and pulled the whole shelf out. this meant I could screw the top bracket in place and the bottom would be alligned. Seemed to work for us. Hope this helps Picture to follow.

Yes I think if the water is too hot it may not work. However we used it for 9 nights with 6 of us showering the water was warm but not hot. We shall see how we go . but thanks for the warning

Here are the photos. These are the only two that I can get that are small enough in MB to upload. Hope it helps. I managed to get one inside of the fixing bracket.

We had one of these Primus showers too - one too that lasted almost 12 mths we used hot water and bore water and water out of the river though it - worked pretty well until it conked out just before our last trip in the Hawk. We did not want to buy a new one as we have both external and internal shower in our Expanda so and we pulled it apart and found it was to do with the switch being loose -rusting - so improvised with a bit of extra padding - al foil or small rectangle of metal cut out from something in the garage and shoved it in the switch and worked a treat again - got us through our last 2 week trip in the Hawk.

We saw thenm in Bunnings - were going to get one - but was pretty happy with the last trip where I Had the excess wine and beer stored at the back of the cupbard with long tall thin tupperware cereal containers in front and easily accessible - would like a pull out feature at the topof this cupboard that I can put al foil and gladwrap in. -

The primus shower we had with the Hawk was a 12volt one -just a 12 volt pump - sucking out of a bucket of preheated hot water which we had sourced from our coleman hot water.

Yes it is a 12v and we used to do the same with the coleman. As for the shelf, we could not find them in our Bunnings hence why we had to but elswhere.

Re the Do Not Overtake...... sign, is there a 'correct/legal' position for these to be placed?
LHS? RHS? On bumper? High on the Left or/and Right?
Saw a few, but only a few on vans on our recent Apollo Bay trip but seen rarely before.
Is there a newish ruling that requires these?
Marv wants to know!

Thanks, is WA but an Australian standard.
At least 400mm but not more than 2000mm above road surface to underside of the sign
No more than 500mm from left hand edge.
Must not be fitted if overall length does not exceed 7.5m
Great

Mine is 8.4m by itself, so with the Landcruiser attached its up around 13.5m, and 6 tonne

Mine is 6.03m plus BeasT of 5.5 makes a total length of ~11.5m, well, that's more than 7.5 so legal to use these.
