I have a Garmin GPS. I got some maps on a mini SD card. I put the card where it is supposed to go but the maps don't show. What did I do wrong/do I need to do to get them to show?

Is this a Garmin hand held GPS or a satnav (turn by turn navigator)
If it's a turn by turn (like a Nuvi or similar) you need to go in to settings->maps and check that there is a tick against your topo maps.
If the topo maps are not turn by turn, you may need to turn off the regular street maps as well

So I assume you are using the OZ Topo maps then ?
You should just need to go into Settings -> Map -> Info and confirm that the box against the topo maps is ticked.

I found when you change maps i.e. tick the new map & untick the old you still need to drive a few kms before it shows for some reason.
Problem solved. For donkey's ages I had been trying to get Hema maps on my iPhone. Finally they are on an are they good.
