leaking hand pump tap!

Our 2012 van has a leaking hand pump tap. Only leaks at base when used. Anyone tried fixing it or maybe time for a new one?

Have you thought of swapping it for a filter tap?

Not really because we don't run a pump, maybe next van.

Ours leaks too,found that the diaphargm at the bottom of the plunger had dislodged. Pryed it out with a bent up coat hanger,re attached and applied vasoline to it all. Hasnt came off since and it primes really well now. Pace.

Taped around ours, only leaked on corrugations, not when being used.

We thought our hand pump tap was leaking at the base. It wasn't. It was water running off the top of the spout back down and pooling at the base. Answer. Put a sponge at the base, tap not leaking. Also noticed hand tap drips when electric pump or mains tap turned on and off.

Mine leaks around the top seal, I just bought a new one from BCF and it also leaks from the seal. Is there a better quality hand pump around?

Pull apart and vaso is the go.

Mine was leaking to, seemed to leak around base when using the electric pump as well. Pulled apart and found O ring not sitting flat but seemed very loose fitting as well. I put it back in as best as possible(no spare handy) and put a smear of silicon around the green fitting that screws down last when putting it back together, hasn't leaked for 12 months.Barney

As above on mine - dodgy diaphram bit. Jayco replaced it under warranty and left the old one in the van - pulled it apart, and a 30 second fix..
