Just When I Thought!

Just when I thought everything was all good on the new Van, open up the front lid and bang off comes the left strut bracket and flings into the Cruiser back window!

Anyone else had this happen?

The 2 screws that hold the bracket in seem very flimsy!

Yes mate. I had both my lids end replaced for this reason. The timber beneath the fibre glass was too soft, so Jayco replaced them for me. Touch would (ironic) since being changed over haven't had an issue.

Do recommend that you close the front boot lid from the very middle, closing from one side puts a lot more stress on an individual strut.

Common problem. Someone on here has a great fix for it. See if I can find the link.

Except for a few expletives!



I'll see how the fix goes for the time being!

Sikaflex super strength adhesive plus 2 more screws!

If not will look at doing the double plate thing!
