Yes, we just flooded the van out. Our New Starcraft has just been in getting some warranty repairs done on buckling walls and was really happy with the result. We are packing to go away in a couple of hours and Hubby was filling the water tank and found water gushing out of the van from the inside!!!! Yep Jayco had forgotten to hook all the water pipes back up and resulting in the water pouring into the inside of the van eek!!

Now has anyone done this and how much damage can we expect? I am not sure actually how much water has gone through the van (as I am working a half day before we go away) as Hubby rang to tell me the terrible news.

Rest assured we will be letting Jayco know what they have done and I think it would be in our best interest to get them to inspect it, or perhaps get an independant inspection done, to ascertain how much damage, if any, has been done.

We will still head off and try and air out the van as much as we can, lucky in Adelaide we have some nice weather here for a couple more days.

Oh no Joanne, that is not good news! Hopefully you can still enjoy your holiday.
Before you leave I would take photos, lots of photos and let Jayco know before you head off. I would be getting your insurance company to look at this as it may be a write off.
If Jayco are at fault, IMHO (and my opinion only), you should get a new van. I would not like a new van with mould possibly getting in any little space that can't dry out, let alone any swelling from cupboards etc.
I would also test electrical system before you head off. I am not an electrician, but if water has touched the electrical system, it will short out and you will have no power
Good luck with this and I will be watching to see what happens.

I had the external shower run back into van and turned the cupboard into a mini swimming pool, got onto it straight away, mopped it up dried it out and aired it and have ended up with no issues and it was around 10 months ago!
My major worry was swollen shleves but nothing, not even a minute partical of swelling or water damage of any sort anywhere, but from the time of spill to clean up was immdeiate so that probably helped. Also no mould or nothing.

Put a few of those water absorbant containers in the cupboards and around to help soak up moisture we did just incase!

Thanks @TACA. Just spoke to Hubby and he has assured me that all should be good. He did manage to turn off the tap quickly and has managed to wipe it all up. He doesn't think there should be too much damage. (fingers crossed) I will certainly be having a look myself when I get there and make sure that I am happy with what he has done!! Jayco General Manager here in Adelaide will also be receiving a tersely worded email, with a view to having the van inspected. With this being our 4th van from them, I will expect they will look after us as they have previously done. Too late for photos etc as Hubby has hooked all the pipes up and cleaned up.
I will post results on here as well once we have something to tell. At least the van will get an airing this weekend as we will still go away.

Great idea with the absorbers. I will call into the shops on the way home and get some!! Thanks @hamish22

@Joanne, I just re read my post and was probably on the extreme side. I hope there is no damage and all ends well. I would not like anyone to have major damage to a large investment through no fault of there own.
At least if Jayco know about it and something is wrong weeks/months/years down the track that can be related back to this incident, you should be covered. Hopefully there is no damage!

Had a similar thing happen last weekend whilst trying to sort out another Jayco leak.

Got to it very quickly and dried it out, hoping no long term damage as a result.

I had this after a early warranty repair too, they conected ours up but forgot to tighten up the hose clamp.

Mopped it up, fixed the cause, and no problems since. It is a massive inconvienience though i can understand your concern. Take photos and send an email to your dealer or Jayco HQ just so there is a record somewhere that it happened should there other issues as a result of the leak in the future,

Yeah I flooded our first Expanda a couple of times trying to sort out some dodgy plumbing. Dried it out no issues, gets under the cupboards clean though :D

Van is going back to Jayco for an inspection and assessment on Tuesday. We have since found that the vinyl has started to lift off the floor and we are extremely upset and not happy. I have asked for a new van as I am furious with what they have done to my van.
We will wait to see what they come back with and won't let them do a thing to it unless we are satisfied that it will rectify what they have done. I am not exactly sure how they can tell what damage is done to everything and how they can fix it. Obviously we have damage as the vinyl is a tell tale sign something is not right.
