Hi all. We have begun planning our trip up to Birdsville for Big Red Bash in July and thought we would put the word out in case anyone else wanted to tag along for the trip. We make a 2 week trip out of it from Geelong and its a great venue for a rock concert at the foot of 'Big Red' Check the link for all the details. https://bigredrun.worldsecuresystems.com/bigredbash/index

We are heading that way as well for the start of our annual 3 month trek north. Whats your route there in from the south or north. We will come in via Windorah and whilst its probably longer, the track bit is shorter.

Hey Griffo, the plan at this stage is to leave Geelong on the 23rd and head across to SA then up to Alice via the normal stops of Coober Pedy, Yulara and then Kings Canyon followed by the trip East on the plenty to Boulia and then down to Birdsville. We have 10 days to get there..not sure which way home yet but probably back around and down through Bourke. Went up via Flinders Ranges then Maree and the track last year so looking to mix things up a bit.

We are coming in the way you are going out. Due to hit Birdsville on Saturday 2nd. Keep your eye out for blue/black Touareg with a kayak and SUP on the roof. Have a safe trip.
