Hi All,
I've just got a quote from a company to make an annex for my Jayco Swan Outback with Fiamma awning, too me it seemed a little high.

It was $3k plus another $350 for a front area.

Does this sound about right?

Sounds a bit high to me unless they are supplying the Fiamma Awning as well. We paid $2,650 for a full set of awning wall, anti-flap kit, 2 x curved roof rafters and fitting at home through Australiawide Annexes! Ours is a 17' expanda.

Is the $350 for an enclosed front area or just a roof shelter?

I always get at least two quotes for things like this to keep them honest ;)

Sounds on the high side.

Do you really need a full enclosed annexe? It probably depends on where you intend using it ....in Qld or in colder climes...but, if it helps, we had the sunbusters custom made for our swan and that was less than $1000.

It wasn't a full annexe but it gave privacy, protection from both wind and rain and, when extended out, we always got a full breeze.

If you want to save even more money, get the fiamma awning with the sail track antiflaps and just add a long wall and two side walls. You can probably do the three walls for about $300. Easier, lighter, and cheaper.

I know we've had a full annexe which was used twice and got a lot more use out of the shade walls.

an annex is great, but like @Dobbie said, how often will you use it

we only pack out Annex if its longer that 3 days or raining

also agree with the fact the guy is trying to gouge you - that is VERY steep price
I paid $2200 for a full annex etc like @dagree from Australia Wide Annexes

give them a call...........

Thanks all, yes we will be using it for our longer stays which we do 3 or so times a year, the extra room was a roof and a wall, it actually seemed a reasonable price for what it was.

The fiamma was not included in the price.

I'll try a few others.
