We have just purchased our first van - 2007 expanda with bunks. I have attached a photo of the roll out awning canvas which rubs (small rip in canvas) on the rear passenger side of the roof lock down latch. Has anyone experienced this problem? I saw another van like mine and awning was mounted the same and only missed rubbing on the catch by a matters of millimetres. I was thinkng of trying to remove the canvas and have upholseter cut say 50mm to move it away from the catch (how hard is it to take off and put back on)? Any thoughts / suggestions / comments appreciated. Thanks.

Surprised you got missed in response. I would roll out the awning lock it. Slide it out of the barrel and sail track simultaneous. Might need a couple of hands. There are grub screws in the underside of the sail track both ends.
You might need some silicone spray or WD in the sail track to stop it binding up on dust..
