We find in very cold weather that regardless of internal temp of van the cold comes up through the mattress.
The mattress is the standard inner spring version (3 piece) that comes with 16.49-3.
Has anyone experienced this and found a solution?

Welcome to the forum @kdavell. We haven't found that problem at all but everyone is different. I can only suggest you go to somewhere like Clark rubber and buy some insulating foam.

We didn't need it in the 16.49.3 but certainly did in the Swan.

Our solution was to add egg shell insulation from Clark rubber under the beds. Much improved after that, and it also reduced any condensation issues under the beds.

Use aircell insulation underneath its air gaped and reflective.

A very effective mattress topper is memory foam but it can be hot in summer.

Like-wise we noticed the cold in our Flamingo but not in our Expanda. we now use memory foam on top of mattress for comfort. I found these cheaper on Groupon website - much cheaper than Clark rubber for similar product.

I also have same model, We found the memory foam made us to warm and recently changed to egg foam. As someone else has said everyone is different so if you are looking for heat them maybe the memory foam is good option
