Hi all,

We where spoilt with the inner spirng matteress in our eagle. We thought no, she would be right when we bought the Expanda.

Anyone know the pros and cons of the jayco option and costs of what they may be worth to buy from a jayco dealer...

We are going to try a peice of foam stuff for the moment as it didnt cost us anything, but the inner sporng still might be the best option.

Cheers

Stuart

The pricing is around $210 per mattress.

When I tried one, I found it a bit uncomfortable. All mattresses need extra stiffening along the sides to keep shape and rigidity etc. Since they fold, there was an edge under at least one person, and I found it was like I was lying on a slight ridge since there was less give. (my opinion only, others have had no problem)

So we stuck with the foam one, but will probably get one of those soft overlays from 40 winks or wherever which make normal mattress like those pillow top ones....Should work out about the same price

I agree with SD the fold in the innerspring isn't the most comfortable. Some people put an overlay over the fold to combat this, I'm toying with the idea of goinf back to a foam and ditch the innerspring

The foam in the Expanda is double the thickness of the campers and seem a lot dencer also :tea:

We have the foam, but it was way too firm so also have a foam underlay and a woolen underlay to soften it up a bit.

We have the innerspring and find it very comfy. I had issues with the join at first so we put an egg shell overlay on top and problem solved :)
