QLD Innaminka Road Closure...OCT/NOV 2020

The Bulloo Shire Council has posted that the Burke and Wills Bridge on Innaminka Road will be closed for maintenance from 09OCT20 till 09NOV20, diversions are available but FWD only and they aren't little ones either........ the council web site is undergoing upgrades so its not posted there at this time.

Access to The Dig Tree shouldn't be affected from Noccundra Pub side but be problematic from Innaminka side of the bridge.

Western QLD then slowly to the coast . For fishing charters in Sunshine Coast and maybe another on the gold coast.

I'm on standby to head up the Oodnadatta, but it will be getting too hot by the time we're cut loose from this fiasco

Just returned home this arvo after 15 days 3500km trip out to Longreach direction. During this time we got caught in 2 huge rain dumps. At one stage between Augathella and Tambo we were stuck behind a wide load at 5.6metres during the rain and it was mayhem as oncoming road trains where being forced to put their left side off the road with slopping sides sinking in the wet ground.
That night we elected to camp in a caravan park at Tambo rather than free camp for fear of being stuck. The following night we had a dump at the Longreach caravan park turned a little soggy but generally fared ok.

Innaminka Road to QLD Border closed due to floods and a lot of others in that part of SA along with what looks like most of the dirt roads in Bulloo Shire...

Think their bridge works may be delayed a tad.

Creeks should be running nicely.
