Ideas wanted for Xmas Holidays

Looking for some ideas/recommendations for places to go over xmas period. We are looking at picking my mum up who lives South Brisbane on the way through and doing a little travelling into Northern NSW for up to a week. Any caravan parks or free camping spots that are a must do in this area? Thanks in advance guys.

Why not do a loop down through the New England area then drop down to coast and back to Brisbane

I'll have to research where that is lol, haven't been down that way except for a flight to Sydney once so it is very new to us. But thank you, will definately look into it

Cool, thanks @Bushman. We actually have friends that live in Glen Innes and I haven't been there since I was a little girl so that would be a really nice trip.

I've only used parks while in those locations (Armidale & Glen Innes) bur Free Camps available also,
