I'm sure others will have a few better pics to share

I recall this was the reason we moved from Canberra to QUEENSLAND......Well part of the reason, job had a small part to play.

It wasn't the reason we moved from the Blue Mts to SE Qld but it certainly is an advantage. I have become a custom for no need for a beanie or a fire, but some days I miss it a little.
I remember once we had a frost a bit like in the picture and my windscreen cracked big time from a small chip.

Hi @Bushman,
we were in Bingara last week in our Penguin. Got up at 7am and it was -2C inside.
First warning: the condensation INSIDE the van had dripped onto all the curtain runners and had frozen them solid.
Couldn't open the front boot of the van, boot or doors of the car. Condensation on the top and bottom of the awning frozen solid. No chance of winding it in.

My hands were so cold I couldn't undo the hose between the external gas bottle and stove. Had to get pliers out to do it.
We joked that we needed to take the milk OUT of the fridge to cool it down.

Wasn't until almost 9am that the sun melted the ice so we could get going.
Contrast to this week in Beerwah where we are sleeping with almost no covers at night and over 20C most days.

cheers
Mike

Next weeks forecast is for 3 mornings around -3.
Sunny QLD does sound good

We travel back to Canberra to see kids and remind ourselves how lucky we are....................................Warialda at 0830 was minus 3 a few years ago, all water lines in van frozen, instigated another mod, insulation of all water lines and noted not to go to Warialda and Bingara from late May till late Sept.
Typed sitting in shorts and t shirt, no heater needed.

in Bairnsdale last week there was no water in the van as the hose had frozen, slept under two doona's but had a good night sleep anyway.
I do love winter and want to have the hot and cold! I must admit though, I did enjoy the sun in Merimbula last week, but now I am back at work, who cares?
