Life's hard. A few days ago we were the coldest max temp of all Capital cities, even Hobart. Having to turn on the booster for the solar h/w as we're about 300mm rain over the last 4 days. Frequently draining off spa water and even it's too cold at 27 degC water temp to go in to. If we get any serious wind there's going to be lots of African Mahoganies falling due to wet feet. Still better than being in 40+ temps:)

I'm originally from Adelaide so have experienced, but not enjoyed, those temps. Been in NT almost entirely since 1973 and at times in the Alice when it has been in mid 40's plus driven the old Stuart Hwy, before it was down graded to bitumen, in the same temps. I no longer have any desire to live in or travel during those high temps. I'll take -7 in Alice and Darwin's build up heat any day. Pic for avatar was taken in build up conditions while building my new shed (cyclone shelter of last resort) and caused me less stress than the high temps, despite being 30 years older.
