Hi guys, my plans holiday plans for September 2014 have fallen through due to laziness on my part (I fail to put it on the roster and now it's full). So it looks like July school holidays .

My original plan was two weeks including Fraser Island, Harvey Bay and Sun Shine Coast, then back to Bathurst for the Great race for week 3. Is it going to be on the cooler side to plan a Fraser Island trip in July.

We have three kids 6, 2, 4 months to deal with.

The plan was to do a day trip over to Fraser but I have been told i need at least three days.

I'm not taking taking the Expanda over, so what's the best plan in terms of accommodation on a budget.

Is there somewhere to leave the van while staying on Fraser.

Failing that, we have been thinking of a trip out to Ularu, or up to Cairns. Both of these I have allowed 4 weeks. I could take 5 weeks but the budget will be squeezed. We want to go where it warm. Is it crowded at that time of year. I haven't looked into booking anything yet.

Comments or recommendations.
