Been on the "RoundTuit" list for quite sometime and since Ive been having a terrible mechanical month I thought this mod better get done in case Murphy is looking over my shoulder when I hook up next .....................

I use a locking tow hitch pin set up, been worried if lock craps out it will fall off and won't take long for pin to wriggle out and the Rig goes walkies down the road, so with pin in the drill press I drilled a neat hole in it so a "R" pin can be inserted as a fails safe if lock sh*ts itself............... Just ground a bit of a flat spot on pin just near the O ring for lock so drill had a good purchase for a hole just big enough for the "R" pin .................

I suppose just an update on the old pin mod of drilling a bigger hole for a padlock..

The locking pin I bought 9 years ago came with 2 holes already bored to take the supplied R clip (thus able to suit 2 sizes of hitch) with the lock fitted to the end. Nice belt and braces.:)
