Hi guys. My name is Sean . I havent bought a van as yet but very keen on the idea. Still trying to convince the minister of finance and war. Im very interested in the 16.49.3b OB at present. Im over camping in tents. Have found some very interesting posts and ideas. Such a great site.
Im an auto electrician so the wiring is a huge saving for me. The only thing im not sure on and hope someone can ellaborate is the extension of the drawbar. Does this effect the weight on the ball.
Well hope tho chat with a few people out there and help with what i can. cheers

Hi Mate,

Just go and buy one! It's easier to ask for forgiveness rather than permission!

And

You will never regret it!

Hey Sean. Welcome to the forum. I have only been on here for a couple weeks and am finding it very helpful. I just bought a van from Halls in Mildura, a 16.49-3b Ob. Pick it up in September - cant wait. Just go into halls and see Newton he will fix you up :) and as said above, easier to ask for forgiveness lol ;)

Hey Sean
We optioned with: Awning, Privacy Screens, 100ah battery, 2.2 Heron AirCon and the Windup Antenna. Ours is in the Cafe Dinette model. Halls did have one of these in stock but it is the L Shaped Lounge model which is why we decided to wait.
If you do go in, make sure you see Newton. He is a great bloke. My father in law bought his Discovery from there not quite 12mths ago and we go excellent service. This was a big deciding factor for us especially as we live in Brisbane so its a good trip both ways.
Price range would be depending on what fridge you go for but should be around 40-42k. :)
Cheers
