Exterior Help removing Weber gas fitting?

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but we have a new Weber Baby Q, and picked up a 3m bayonet hose to hook up to the caravan. Our van only has 1 gas bottle, so I'd rather not haul another one around.

After some reading, I realized the new hose is bayonet to 1/4" BSPF, but also came with an adapter to 3/8" SAE...so I think we're ok there with the adapter on.

Anyway, the issue at the moment is I can't (easily) get the original gas hose/fitting off the Weber. Of course I don't want to apply too much pressure and end up damaging anything, I believe it's only the gas bottle connector that's reverse threaded, not the BBQ side, right? So if I put an adjustable wrench on each of the two fittings in the image below, my thought would be to hold with the left and push down with my right hand to loosen. Tell me I'm not crazy? It's just not budging, and I don't want to manhandle it! :beaten:

Thanks in advance for any advice from anyone that's replaced their Weber hose.

Cheers

I'm pretty sure the connection on the barbie is LH thread so turn it anti clockwise but use 2 spanners.
