Hi,
I've just joined this forum to post some questions, then I had a bit of a look around the forum and most of them have been answered without me even having to ask :) Thankyou for providing such a great place to get Expanda info.
Hubby & I (& 3 young girls) are new to the world of vans but after months of toying with swan/expanda/swan/expanda/swan etc we have tonight decided to bite the bullet & see if we can get a good deal on a new 17.56.1 in the last few days of the financial year. I'll be back with more questions I'm sure if we can get an order sorted. Any advice for the best dealer in Vic to go through- we are in Gippsland so have 4 within 2 hours drive.
In the meantime I'll continue lurking & soaking up all the great info.
Kylie

Thanks- I have heard good info about Bairnsdale too. We've looked at 2nd hands ones but from what we've seen the model we are looking at the diff between new & used is only about $2-3k. They sure hold their value :)

Welcome guys from us as well, we love the Panda and am sure you guys will as well. It is a great forum, but only as good as it's members which are terrific in here, think it's the fun we all have sharing and learning.
Good luck with the purchase.

Welcome to the forum.
3 young girls? Are you sure you don't want the en suite model? May I suggest an outdoor shower (and hot water if not standard) as a compromise.

I bought my 17 through page bros. Good service and price. Excellent after sales service.

Good luck!

Welcome to another 17.56.1 family. :welcome:You will love your panda when you finally get one. We went through our selection process last year and ordered in January to pick up before Easter. No regrets really loving it. My girls didn't want the toilet inside either. I would also recommend that you check out the standard features of the outback compared to the tourer and last years models.

In terms of the buying experience.... I shopped around the Melbourne dealers. My tip would be to specify all your options (we went with extra water tank. TV ant and extra connections, control panel, annexe and a few others) then I got a quote from each dealer and then told them that I was going to place the order immediately that I needed the best price today! I was pleasantly surprised to find that they all came to the party to varying degrees and we ended up paying a lot less than the first offer. We already had our finance organised and didn't have a trade in. We ended up with Page Bros and dealt with a nice bloke called Trevor Swift.

Good luck with the shopping!

Gday and welcome. Page Bros for us too. I emailed all the Vic Jayco dealers with same listed and options for our van. Once replies came back l gave the first dealer chance to match cheapests quote then decided on delivery date. Happy family.

We went with Trevor as well. Our 17.56-1OB is an awesome unit.

:welcome: to the forum @Kyles&Daz ... Good choice in picking a 17'er.
Can't help with a choice of dealer as we are over the "Other side" in "WaitAwhile Country" and only have the choice of one dealer.

haha- no def not the ensuite model, we'd need 3 basins to stop the fights ;)
We were a bit keen on the outdoor shower so thanks for the recommendation
