Hi to all, we have been vanning for awhile now but no big trips.,certainly looking forward to retirement and getting out there. We have just recently purchased a new Outback Starcraft, 13'.6",single bed set up, I think it will suit our needs nicely.we have been blessed with a few problems so far,the solar didn't work, panel problem, a considerable water leak onto bed and through cupboard, now waiting on an awning with led light, hoping all will be good when we get it back.It certainly looks impressive, long draw bar,and tows beautifully,Have a few mods planned, any new ideas would be appreciated. Hi to all, looking forward to getting about this lovely land of ours, still working at this stage, getting organised but not planning too much. We have done a few small trips, a week or so, the one thing I am looking to is "we don't have to go home, we can go where we want for as long as we want". We have met some lovely people in our short travels, even some visits from a couple, all good. I have a pic of our new van, still stock standard at this time, how do I put a pic on?
A little saying I have had for lots of years, " The sun never fails to shine on a Saturday morning" an old log cutter told me that almost 50 years ago and I have taken this as a signature on various occasions. Regards Broomanbass.

Welcome @Broomanbass, would love to see some pics. Just under the box where you type your post there is a tab "upload a file". Click on this and load your picture. Then you have a choice of loading a full size picture or a thumbnail which can be expanded by members reading your post. You can load a number of pictures but they must be under 3 Mb in size. Good luck and enjoy the forum.

I haven't had any overheating towing with mine (touch wood) . Mines a manual what's yours? Have you had it through mud and blocked up the radiator? Let us know how you get on.
Cheers Matt.

Hi Matt, thanks for the reply, mine is manual,2012 GLX with 56000kms, has been great until 10 days ago,no mud or anything like that, only highway and some gravel work, no offroading.I have done a few thousand kms with the van on,and the problem only seems to be under load while towing,I had no problems until this.I have met another fellow that has been fighting to get his fixed for a couple of years,as with his they flushed the radiator and put a cap on it.when it happened it emptied all the coolant out through the over flow bottle. I can give you a forum address if you want to have a look, more common than you think. Horse and cart is starting to sound good. Regards Bill

Hi, I will give the swap a miss, too many cars and people for me,, pretty layback here. Thanks for the welcome. Are you a fisherman?. Regards
Looks like your smarter than I thought... LOL

Not much of a fisherman but I love getting out on the water regardless. Grew up fishing form my grandparents beach house (spoilt!) Got a little bit over fishing but being on the water is in my blood. There'd be some good fishing down your way I bet.
We head down to Moruya in January and this year I plan to try to take a tinnie or similar. Kids would love fishing but so far haven't done it.
