I have just put down a deposit for an Expanda 17.56-2 OB today after doing a bit of reading on different setups around.I originally was going to buy a 16.49-3 but the wife had a larger say in what i wanted than what i thought a wanted
I will be lurking in the back ground probably asking a silly question or two , now for the long wait .
Brett and Allison..

You didn't mention in your post but I see from your signature you are getting it in Feb 2013???

Was that by choice or only the time you could get one?

Did they mention new colour / schemes and or layouts?

Its an excellent van we had one and loved it and I am sure you will to!!!

Welcome!

The time delay on the expanda is due to the production run at the moment has there air conditioners in the wall and its to late to change
the production plans, i want the aircon in the roof.Feb 2013
The changes i have made are,
Roof air
Extend A frame
windup TV aerial
Gas outlet on the A frame
Ext shower ( to wash the dogs)
Awning
Battery box
not sure of the colours yet as its the 2013 version so there are new fabric coluors to choose from.
I have left the fridge as standard as i have an engel in the car , i will be looking at what other people have done ,
i still have time to change / add any modifications still.

Welcome to the forum Brett and Allison. I wonder if the 2013 version inside may be slightly different also. You may be the first one to post up some pics of the new look.

Well done mate.

We got additional power points under the dinettes installed. Wasn't expensive but has proved well worth it.

Kids need a power point charge their world and it takes all day!

I see you are getting the gas outlet - you won't regret that! Fantastic idea. We were lucky enough to get one at each end which I'm told isn't allowed now!

Welcome :welcome: Brett & Allison. It's obvious members are lining up to offer advice. Lots of 17-56 owners here will be able to help. By the time February rolls round you will have a long list of mods to fit. Enjoy.

Congrats Brett and Allison. Same here for the extra GPOs and 12v under the dinettes. We got the larger fridge and love it. I suspect it would help with resale as well. we will all be looking forward to seeing the new fabrics

Have to say the big fridge is a good inclusion. I have it and also the Engel and find it very convenient. Having the beer close is very important so it having it untainted by fruit and vegies. I also tend to have it a bit colder then the big fridge and it's surprising how quick the big fridge fills, bit like my new shed. :( The slightly larger freezer is a bonus.
