I personally have gone from a tent/s....to a small hand-me down-van...............to an Expanda...

My car has gone from a VW bug to an XD and XE Falcon to a Hyundai Excel, to a Prado, to a Ranger to a Landcruiser.

When is enough enough?

When should we celebrate what we do instead of what we have?

Personally I love to share what we (my partner and me) do much more than what we have?

Hopefully what I have just enables me to do more............

I hope having is not my destination......

I hope doing is not my destination.......

I hope sharing experiences is my only destination................

I dunno...... I'm sorta feelin' funny cause so many original EXPANDA OWNERS ARE MOVIN ON.....from what the site originally was. I would love the site to continue to be a "what you can do site" instead of what I am doing site.

I know I'm a sinner in this respect.........I'm just saying what originally brought me to the site and I do not want to lose that brotherhood........

It's a reasonable point but isn't that life in general?

My car progression has gone EJ, Escort, Astra, Fairmont, (Punto on the side), Falcon Ute, Commodore Wagon, Pajero, Colorado

My house after moving out have gone from room rental, room rental, room rental, ownership, nice rental, apartment rental, suburbia house, bigger suburbia house.

It really depends on what phase of life you are in, be it family, financial, interest, etc. 18 months ago I'd never owned a 4WD or a caravan. Now I'm on my second rig and shopping for my 2nd van. It's about learning and experiencing, what works for you and what doesn't. What's important and what's not.

This site is evolving I feel, like many other forums I've been on. As people pass through they add their own flavour, input and mark to it. This forum is and remains the most helpful and approachable forum I've been in. It's got a great balance of information and experience.

It will be interesting where it goes to from here that's for sure.

All it means @Dean Anderson is as you travel the journey you are getting more and more experiences, when you get up around my milestone you hopefully have a look back and can say Wow but always look forward, there's always more to come..................and I won't give a run down on my life as it would take ages..........Sailor, Airman, Truckie, Farmhand now old foggie.
Off to the beach....................

You always dream of something better/different although normally happy and make do with what you have. Life always changes we went for a third kid and got a 4th for free :)
When I ran a recording studio you have guitarists come in with $10k rigs and sound like ass then the next day you have someone with a cheap crap setup and make magic. Its not always the tools that make you better its how you use them. Although saying that normally the kid with magic in his hands would borrow some of my gear :)

The one thing I think makes this forum great is people go off on tangents and threads evolve into something else although everyone is trying to help others.
I came here as we where looking to get a Expanda although ended up with a Starcraft which grew to a bigger van.
