Thanks folks. Feeling my age, but all the better now for your birthday greetings. Had a nice few days in Balmoral (Vic) Took youngest daughter (35 y.o.) with us...she now thinks she understands why her grandfather left as soon as he was old enough. No mobile coverage and dodgy TV reception. Only Expanda in park. Actually only moveable caravan in the park. Not a lot of visitors so the have planted trees in the van sites! Will post some pics tomorrow.

Thanks again for the surprise birthday greetings. As promised, just a few pics of the Cup Day long weekend (and birthday getaway) at Balmoral (Vic). We drove down (from Melbourne) via Geelong and Hamilton and returned via Hamilton and Ballarat with great views of the Southern Grampians.
The **Balmoral CP was small, quiet and had hot water. Also the only fuel in town. Ours was only Expanda - actually the only van in CP apart from a couple of (semi) permanents/and a few cabins.
Got my choice of sites, although most had trees planted in front which provided a parking challenge. Needed to chock wheels on one side to level. Poor TV reception and no phone, WiFi, etc. (Dog friendly, but not kid friendly I suspect.) BYO jumping pillow. Park and store are for sale if anyone's interested in a quiet life (Cup Weekend excepted).

The cemetery was surprising well maintained, so the expected chores associated with visit (tidying, weeding family graves, etc.) were not necessary and we had more time to browse and take a lot of photos to share with Dad who lived here up until the late 1930's – my daughter says she now understands why he left.

Had a crack at pizzas in the BabyQ...not very tidy, but it cooked them beautifully as others on this forum have attested. I made three of these and they tasted terrific.
Just for the record...tomato paste, olive oil, mozarella, bacon, shredded ham, pepperoni, spicy rib sauce, onion, pineapple and chilli-pecorino sheeps cheese. Sort of "birthday special"
The pizza stone was a good buy. Cheated by using fresh frozen pizza dough from a local pasta/wood-fired pizza place (6 balls for $5). Ideal BabyQ size. Thawed and rose beautifully in couple of hours.
Didn't bake bread or birthday cake, but will have a go soon. – Bill
