Sorry to do this to you CD but since you done such a fantastic job of tour leader the last meeting over in the Vic high country , whos up for the CRUISER DRIVER / BT DRIVER to plan out another well thought of meet and greet at another location involving maybe other states ? I reckon if we throw him a few ideas he ll be up for it

Great idea BP. I know you are heading north to the territory, maybe you can drop back down through Qld and have a meet somewhere in the west Qld or NSW.

Okay I have spoken with Cruza about this by PM since our last outing as we also enjoyed it so much. Cruza I think is limited in his time for a little while and I thought it was only fair that somebody else do a little planning. So this was my thoughts, we would obviously want Adam along for his experience (Dan too)

Khancobin or Cooryong as a base, both van parks are clean, cheap clean allow groups and camp fires.for our day trips I thought we could split with an easy trail over major clews and through to threadbo for a latte or for the more adventurous cross the Murray into Vic and either Mt Pinnabar or Davis Plain hut trail. That's as far as it got as I have got as busy as at work, and will be vehicle less till end of April at the earliest as I have sold the Paj and ordered a Cruiser.

Might post it up in the trips section and see what comes of it.

Sounds like it could be a great trip Jimmy, but if we have to go after April I don't think I would have enough woolies to survive. :smow: If the same time of year as the last one, bring it on. :whoo:

As Jimmy mentioned we have exchanged a few PM's about organizing another meet up and were discussing a few ideas and the Corryong area sounded good.

This is where Dan aka ''The Kaboos'' and I stayed last September and the owners of the park are very accomadating. There is a big grass area at the rear of the park (non powered) that could be suitable or there is powered sites to choose from. Fires are allowed too.

Hey Chartrock were taking off on the 13 April and heading for the Diamantina N/P then up to Mt Isa to do the mine tours then to Lorella Springs b4 Kakadu so if you feel like a drive / holiday ==come on down ..

Heres an idea how about a 3 state golf match at Camerons Corner ??? or a pub crawl at Tippoburra

Geez BP your not very ambiguous I only saw two pubs in Tibooburra and I missed the golf course entirely in Cameron Corner. May have to go back I did choose the middle of summer to go so my own fault with the heat but that is bloody interesting country up there, the kids and I loved it.

Your right there is only 2 pubs so not far to crawl !!!!!!
and there is a golf course all three holes when i as there last and you get a certificate at the end

You are a torment BP. I would love to get out there, I am wrapt in western Qld. Have been to Winton a few times and down the dinasour trail to Windorah and Quilpie but have not stopped in Diamantina NP

My problem is my daughter is returning from 5 years in Ireland at the beginning of April and going to stay here for a while so I doubt I can get away at that time. I'll keep my options open though if that's OK.
