Lately I've been getting some regular newsletters by email and one has had advertisements for a particular brand of matting for use under awnings etc. Within the Adv there's the following prominent note "As demanded by most van parks". I have 2 questions about this apparent requirement. Firstly, do "Most van parks" actually demand this style of matting (never been asked of us what we have)? Secondly, there's a subtle inference that the same apparent "Most van parks" are actually saying that this particular brand is the only one they approve. So is it just me that is thinking that the Adv is misleading?

We have been using homemade shad cloth(100%) matting for years in WA and never had any problems with caravan parks rejecting the matting yet.

"Yeah, I've heard that also, some don't like flooring that kills the grass. I have a C gear, it seems fine with the grass and you can land helicopters on it!"

And yet tents with a floor a fine? Go figure, they're often bigger and do just as much damage. :D

Aldi annex mat, just added eyelets at each corner best $30 I spent. Annoys other campers who spent 3 times as much for same product.
Tent floors always made me wonder also.
