Went away for a few days to Anglesea and set up camp and found we had no lights, that was okay we had a few battery led's for back up.

The first sign that something was not right was that the ignition on the cook top didn't work, as it was 2 weeks out of warranty I thought typical and would just pay to get it fixed when i get it serviced. But then we find the light are cactus, tried to find the fault but gave up and after we packed up left it with the Auto Electrician, who then had to pull the van to pieces eventually finding three naked wires twisted together in the range hood shorting out, he described it as just plain lazy.

So I went back to prestige Jayco in Geelong with the bill and asked who do I ask to pay for it, they took the bill and photos the sparkie took and said they would approach Jayco for me. 2 days later I get a call back and Jayco are footing the bill, So thanks to Prestige in Geelong:biggrin-26:Great Service.

I think it probably pays to buy the van from your local dealer as it probably helps if they sold it to you.

In the end I would have been okay with footing the bill as the auto elect has now been right through all the wiring and fixed up any thing that was untidy, fingers crossed next time I see him it will be in a few years for a new battery.

Jayco were the ones that paid up, Prestige submitted the request for me.

Sparkie reckons it was hanging a mm from the metal and would have been touching it until one day it stuck.
