good caravan park in canberra??

We were planning to go to the snow again this weekend but it is fairly soggy and washed out so decided to go just to Canberra instead. Any recommendations where to stay or where not to stay. Just doing the touristy things with the kids, so something in canberra itself would be good. Thanks, Barney.

I believe that the best one is in O'Connor. Friends stayed in the Fyshwick one last week and said that while it was convenient for them while visiting their daughter who was in hospital it was nothing special. Lots of permanents and a small area in the middle for about 12 caravans. If not stay out at Eagle's Nest just over the border in NSW on the Federal Highway.

Agree with Bruce, O'Connor is the go as Fyshwick is primarily a Residential Park. There area couple out on the border at Eagles Nest but its a bit of a drive in to town

Went to stay there a few years back to take our van van to the dealer just down the rd, Prior to our departure I saw it on the news FLOODED, they hadn't called to cancel our booking, they were a little busy with their evacuation. Given all the rain we've had of late I'd give it a miss.
