Golivers Travels say Hi

Joined the forum a while back so thought we should introduce ourselves.

Gary and I have been Jayco owners for many years. Our first Jayco was a 1984 Dove, which we kept as a second van for many years for whoever wanted to use it, just selling it last year. We have also owned a Flamingo, Expanda, Sterling Pop top and now a Sterling van with shower and toilet.

As our needs changed from a family with 3 young children to 3 teenagers, then to time by ourselves, we always found a Jayco van to suit our life style. We are now retired and enjoy the features of our Sterling Caravan.

We have an annex if we to stay for an extended time and shade awnings if travelling. Previously we had purchased shade awnings for our Expanda, and looking at the construction, I decided to make them for the caravan. So for $150 I was able to make 3 shade awnings, compared to $800 to buy 2.

Having spent every opportunity over many years travelling across and around Australia we never get bored. There are always new places to visit, and old ones to enjoy again.

We love to camp in the bush, free camp, camp in designated Birdlife areas, National Parks, but also enjoy small country town Caravan Parks or those that have a connection with the environment.

We look forward to many more years of caravaning, enjoying it with our children their partners and the Grandchildren.

Looking forward to meeting some of you out there on the road.
