I have been camping up at Bonnie Doon this weekend with some friends.
One of these friends had a tale to tell.
It was about another family that this friend went traveling with at Lakes Entrance. They were camping in tents.
One night they went out for dinner. The family had two kids and the mother told them to make sure the tents were zipped up and their iPods were not left in the tent and neither their wallets. All of which the kids never did.
After returning from dinner the kids came back to the tent and found out that an iPod had been stolen as well as wallets and money plus some other belongings.
The police were called and a report submitted.
A few weeks later the police called and said they found the wallet in a sand dune on the beach along with some other wallets that were not theirs. But there were also some other belongings that identified the thief.
As it turned out a prisoner had escaped from a prison in NSW and the guy had worked his way down the coast line topping up his funding via camp sites.
Now is that creepy or what!!
