Interesting....
When we went through in 2010 I was planning ahead for fuel stops and found out along the way that Imintji didn't carry unleaded fuel, only diesel. (they could supply you with an emergency supply, if really needed, but only about 20 litres)
I had to fill my Pajero (150lt) plus 2 x 20lt jerry cans at Mt Barnett, cost me well over $350 BTW.
Made it all the way through to Derby with that lot, so a bit of forward planning will not cause any issues IMO.

Obviously we didn't even stop there for anything, just kept going.

yeah I saw this write up also, we are planning a trip up there next year so will need to plan around this, but as @Matty4 has mentioned preparation is key plus a few full jerry cans of fuel

I was debating with myself whether to take a couple of Jerry cans. This seals the deal. Even if extra fuel is not definitely required, I like the peace of mind.

Thanks for putting that up. Hopefully by our trip through there next year it will have reopened but if not a bit more careful planning/packing to be done if I have to carry the extra weight of jerry cans.
