Hi all. Just in the middle of hopefully purchasing our 2nd jayco.

We are going from a dove outback to a 17ft expanda outback.

Have had a really good read here over the last few months and have a few mods already picked out.

Just a question for myself as the search fiction isnt working on my phone. The van we are looking at has been advertised as a 2012 jayco expanda outback. It' code on the build plate though is 15.56.02HL. Is thought all outback were listed at OB??

Is this an outback or a knock off?If it's not then its very well converted.

G'day @Jared Dunne and welcome to the forum. The HLon the early model expandas just stood for "Hard Lid" which came out around 2009/2010 as opposed to the earlier models with no lid.

This van is a pop top . I presume your talking about the actual roofq material not the fact its pop top/not pop top

No mate, the hard lid is the lid over the extended bed end. You open the lid then drop the bed. The earlier models there was no lid to lift, you just dropped the bed.
