Hi all, Mitch and Tam here.

We've been lurking on this forum since 2012 but haven't really been involved as we've been camper trailer owners. We have however now just acquired a 2012 Jayco Outback 17.56-2 Expanda.

Haven't picked it up as ye as we are awaiting our insurance settlement to clear as our 2013 Outback Swan was total lossed due to water damage plus we sold our tow rig (MUMSRIG) last weekend to some lovely people who are going to start touring the country..

Anyhow, we've progressed from a custom built soft floor to a 2008 OB Swan onto a 2013 OB Swan with heaps of options (ordered it new from the factory on the return leg from our last trip across Aus) to now purchasing the Expanda.

We also bought the Swan back from the Insurance mob to transfer some of the options across to the Expanda.

Very happy with our new Van and the fact that there will be less set up involved and that we can use it on the side of the road without having to wind it up, its in immaculate condition to.

First trip will be Bathurst next month as long as we can get a new tow rig by then. LOL then we're off across Aus again in December heading to the Flinders and ultimately Kalgoorlie for XMas as Tam was Born and Bred there to catch up with family and friends and then Perth to do the same. Not sure how we will be heading back as yet..

We hope to pick up some great ideas from the forum and heaps of hints and tips. Cheers

Welcome to the forum @MUMSRIG and as @Tricky said "Great choice" ;)
Nice 120..... What are you replacing it with?

And yep.... Plenty of help on here to get the ideas for mods and accessories ;)

Cheers for the welcome..

99% sure it will be an Earth Green MQ Triton Exceed Dual Cab dagree. I will miss the 120 but I won't miss the fuel consumption ;)

Certainly am.. One of the original 120 Members. Was quite active in WA when we were living there. Been on plenty of PradoPoint runs and the bus was featured in 4WD Action Magazine a couple of years ago..

Congrats and yet another Swan to Expanda covert and another Prado to 17.56-2, white combo too.

Q: is that shower roof vent tinted or is it the shade of the pic angle?

Cheers Pace.

Nice upgrade from the swan @MUMSRIG and it was a great looking Prado! Are you going to trick up the Triton or what ever you end up with like you did the 120?

Hi @17triton, not going to extremes like MUMSRIG mate. Nice and simple with this one. All Terrains, long range tank (currently being engineered) and some Genuine Accessories. Nice and simple and will be understated unlike the Prado

@Pace. The shower roof vent is tinted. The van had a brand new updated roof, wineguard aerial and components fitted about a month ago and is how I found out about the van, which was actually owned by a work colleague of mine, as it was done at the repairer we took our Swan to. The Solar fitment was done incorrectly causing a hole to be left in the roof requiring the roof to be replaced.. Fine by me

So, that means it could have the LED lighting in the ceiling then?? When we had our roof replaced we got the new LED lighting and the ever so slight convexed curved roof. Pace.

Correct @Pace. It has LED's which I would have swapped over from our camper if it didn't. Only a 90w Solar Panel so will tomorrow and see how hard it is to swap our 120w across. Will put the Swan battery in it and have swapped the bed fans over as the Swan's were LED's. Was going to swap the rims and tyres to but another rim is $250 and the tyre is $300.. Couldn't believe it! Struggling to think of anything else I can pull off the Swan and put on the Expanda besides the Treg Hitch. Not sure if it's possible but will look in the morning as we only got the van delivered home today since we don't have a tow rig at the moment as the new one is on order. Is the Treg even capable of handling the weight of the Expanda?

If you can swap the treg hitch over it'll do the job no problems.... We have one on our 17.56.2OB!!

Fun times ahead and congrats on the delivery :)
