Ok we have just signed up for a 16.49.1 expanda. Just need some input on upgrading the fridge to 150lt - good idea or bad? Just the two of us and we do have a waeco as well.

Welcome Kenty ,upgrade it gives you the option not to take the weaco and good for resale everyone likes the bigger fridge.

Would you prefer a smaller fridge at home?:beguiled: Go the bigger one, you won't regret it.

Hi there Kenty and welcome!
We too have a 16.49-1, and have the 150l fridge. Go the bigger fridge. You will never regret the bigger fridge, but will regret getting a smaller one. Like already mentioned, resale will be better with the 150l.
I also love the microwave directly above the 150l, makes good use of space.

I'd go the bigger fridge....we upgraded ours in our 17.56. It's one of those things that you can't really change in the future. Then you also have the option on shorter trips not to bring an extra portable fridge

Hi Kenty,
Welcome to the forum. After having a 90 litre in our old van, I would never again have one again as they are not big enough. We just ordered a new expanda and ordered a 150 litre fridge upgrade. Also according to the manufacturer the 90 litre is sub tropical rated and the 150 litre is tropical rated. ( so they say ) this means the bigger fridge should cope better in hotter weather when compared to 90 litre.
cheers
Nick
