Fridge Problem

Hello all,
We are in country Victoria and arriving in Melbourne today. We have problems with Dometic fridge, it won't cool on electricity. Suggestions please on repairers around Doncaster, Bayswater, Boronia area please.

Jayco is at world of caravans at 140 Canterbury rd Bayswater .
They should be able to point you in the right direction .

have you checked the power point that it plugs into
have you checked the RCD

I know you have, but just asking incase..........

More details really needed, fridge model , how long running on 240, some models have a fuse in the back, check vent for warmth,van level etc.

Thanks everyone, it's a Dometic fridge. Have tried all the suggestions, have spoken to Bayswater Jayco and they made the same suggestions, only thing is they don't fix them. They gave me contact details of Dometic agent and we are booked in for 11am Monday. Prognosis is possibly a new element required

well, thats better than wondering why the butter has melted I suppose.............

has it been "playing up" for long - or just died...........?

If you were or are handy with a multi meter you could test the element and if there is power to it

Element and thermostat both dead, if it happens again, I will be able to fix myself
