I haven't found the link if there is one on this topic.
The only reason why I am looking into this is when I was at lesuirefest on the week end my better half liked a non jayco van but beside this fact when I said I would have to go home an measure the van storage area
To see if it fits , the dealer side they offer a fold up A frame, now this is were I need every ones valuable information both good and bad.
I have read some horrible stories and then I have read if its properly engineered I should not have a problem.

Scares me, I'm sure there would be safety measures in place......but

I've seen some in the UK where storage space is more limited.

Some even are designed to be stored vertically on garage walls ....but very light and flimsy.

I'd be very wary of this A frame and certainly check the engineering.

the ones I have seen previously, unlike the pic above

they DO rely on the owner / operator making sure they are secured for travel

I would not personally have one, for that reason (said the man who forgot to clip ALL the lids clips) and the fact that all the "ball weight" would be on that pivot point...........

a bit like @Dean Anderson 's Ranger rear end...........................................

Don't get a foldable draw bar confused with a bolt on draw bar. Two very different things IMO. I have seen a few boat trailers with a foldable draw bar but admittedly a boat is probably not exposed to some of the roads and tracks that vans are.

Well think it back to the think tank on this one might go back to re measure and see what other changes could be done for it to fit

This is my delemer my storage space is 7.2mtr at a very tight pinch 7.3mtr "A" frame against gates fence is on boundary unable to move
forward, back is gararge wall with window.
New van to be Coronet FS2 (not jayco) but now the kids don't come any more
So this is the sizes

Storage area 7.2mtr to 7.3mtr at a pinch
Current van 17:56-1 travel length 6964
New van travel length 8060

Have though remove rear bar and change to one closer to body and fit spare wheel when traveling
But i am about half a meter short
May think turn van around and remove window then winch van in
