Just back from our trip to Karuah which was about 2 hrs 15 min from the burbs in the north of Sydney.
Fuel economy was 10.4 sitting on 100kmh and 11.5 sitting close to 110kmh most of the return trip. Very happy with the figures.
I'm a cautious driver and don't know if it's a good idea to monitor the oil temp as you drive as you become v paranoid. Varies from about 103 to 116 after a big hill. Not sure if it's better to put the foot down a bit to keep the speed up or let the hill take its toll with sped dropping down a bit (in regards to oil temp).
The van (panda 16.49 series with bunks) sits pretty level but boy is it low. I virtually have to dig a hole before I can fit the jockey wheel and get the van off the car.
