Hi guys, thought we would introduce ourselves, we picked up our 2012 17.56.1 OB three weeks ago and had our first weekend away just gone.
We absolutely love the comforts of hot water when you turn the tap on and just the comforts that come from the layout of this model. I must confess this forum has been a wealth of information in helping us to decide on what model we wanted and the all important extras and I thank you all for that.
We were lucky enough to find a 5 month old van that had everything we were looking for, including an annexe for a fraction of the new price.

Extras
Heron 2.2 Air con
Roll out awning
Upgrade to 150-litre fridge
Wynegard TV antenna
Prestige annexe
Privacy screens
Extra Gas Bottle
CD player and EXT speakers
3 shelves in each robe
External picnic table
Control panel
Extra 240/12 power points
Rear gas bayonet
External shower and HWS
Extra water tank
Extend a frame and bike rack
2nd battery provision. Van has two battery’s fitted
Extra LED light outside van (1 over shower)
Anderson plug fitted to front of Van for portable solar panels

We are towing the van with a 2011 Nissan Navara STX550 and it towed absolutley beautifully, first weekend away was Yarraby Caravan Park in Echuca and we didn't see our 4 year old for 3 days.

Anyway that's enough from me for now and I hope I can contribute to the forum in the future and help someone else to make some informed decisions, like you guys did for us.

Kind regards

Aaron, Hayley and Madison

Hi AzHaych and welcome to the forum,
Looks like a great buy with some great extras added! Very Nice!
With that extended drawbar dont be surprised if you find some inspiration on the forum for a custom checker plate tool box! So wish we had the extended drawbar, oh well......

Hi Aaron

I am pleased to hear that the 550 towed the 17-56-1 so well. As I am saving up for the same van and have the Pathfinder TI 550 its an awsome engine.I am very pleased with mine. It tows my Flamingo like there is nothing there.

Cheers Gibbo

:welcome: Welcome Gibbo. Nice to have you aboard.
Could have done without you mentioning your Ti550 in your first post though. ;)
Pace and I were having a nice daydream.

Welcome AzHaych, wow great pick up. Q: what type of economy figures do you get from the awesome 550, both towing and not?
Hey Pace, I have had 8.7ltrs/100k not towing on a trip to Albury and back, on this trip towing the van I had 10.9ltrs/100k. I could have improved that but I have a lazy habit of flicking the cruise on and on a couple of the hills she dropped down a gear to maintain the 105.
The general average around town each week I see 9.9ltrs/100k but I'm not the easiest on the right pedal.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Aaron
