Hi guys

Its been a long time Expanda. I have the quite dubious honour of being one of the longest members of this forum, with the lowest post rate. I was one of the first to register after seeking a broader and fresher forum to compliment the heavily patronised Yahoo Group. I hold the record of the lowest number of posts for the longest member ....... with a grand total of one post.

We purchased a new 16.49.1OB in 2009, and in our quest for information found this forum. The founder, like us, had a new Expanda with a similar quest for information and community. The Yahoo Group was very strong and well entrenched back then, and was the pinnacle of all things Expanda. I recall thinking it was a tall order to start a new forum with such a strong and active Yahoo Group competing for attention.

Back in late 2009/early 2010 there was zero activity on this forum. I registered, and responded to one of the founders first posts, about privacy screens if I recall correctly. Little happened on the forum after that; I returned less and less until I never returned.

We recently sold our much loved and very much used 2009 16.49.1OB, and a few weeks back paid the deposit on a new 20.63.1OB. In the 5 years we had the 16.49.1 we managed to clock up over 30,000km and over 230 nights on board. Its an exciting time with much change and big plans ahead. The process has been a little less than inspiring so far but it hasn't dampened our sprits too much, and we're confident it will all come together in the end.

In my new quest for 20.63.1 information, reviews, tips and tricks my google search returned me here to find that this forum has exploded into a vast hub of activity with a very active membership ... and to my joy a raft of posts about the 20.63.1.

Ill continue getting my bearings around the forum and continue catching up on all the 20.63.1 activity. I may even weigh in on some discussions.

Welcome back @Crusty181, glad you found us again. As another long time member I agree with your discovery as to how this forum has exploded in activity and we do have a wide range of very friendly and informative members. I am sure you will enjoy your time here and, yes, the 20 footers are a growing part of the forum. :D

Welcome Crusty. Good to meet one of the originals. You can see what I have. And, yes, this is a very welcoming, informative and inclusive place. Lots and lots of information and advice. Also very tolerant.
Now, will we see you at Camerons Corner? I'll be there? This is the second gathering I've been to with this forum. I even got some golf clubs so I can make a fool of my self........ again!
Oh, and there are two threads for this subject. And kids are welcome.

Thanks for the invite, but work commitments (i.e. to pay for the new van) are making any trips at this time of year impossible
