I am a local in Rockhampton Central Queensland. I am not sure if travellers through our area know this, but Rocky's last caravan yard / Caravan Part retailer / Caravan Repairer closed down over 12 months ago. So people travelling through and locals who could not find what they needed at Bunnings, Masters, BCF and the like, had to order parts online and / or travel to Mackay or Bundaberg for Services.
I just drove past the site of the old yard on Musgrave Street and noticed the gates open, new signs and vans. I dropped in and the owner said that they have just leased the site and are commencing business immediately. They have a fleet of Hire Vans (Jayco Expandas) and they are are doing retail parts as well as servicing and repairs. They are also in the process of negotiating a deal with a particular Caravan Manufacturer to stock and sell new caravans as well. They are calling themselves Capricorn Caravans.
This is great for our town and region as well as for all travellers and the like. It was pretty ridiculous that a town this size did not have a dedicated caravan yard / retailer.
