Depending on whats onyour roof already it just depends...

The roof air would be close to 30kg personally I wouldn't even attempt getting a boat up there without damaging something.

You would also need a way to get it up on the roof and back down before you put the roof up and down.

What did you want to do with the boat?

For the $3500 they are charging you could get a side boat loader and a tinnie.

I had this one in the past good unit used to carry a 3.6m tinnie and a 15hp suzuki -

And this one is a bit cheaper and lighter -

Expanda, No air, solar or anything on the roof of our Expanda. Looking for options now prior to purchase of new vehicle. Looking at a Ranger, but didn't really want a canopy that would be required for racks to mount the boat (plus the expense of the racks).

The thinking was to screw into the roof of the expanda some slimline rails with nylon (boat trailer type) covering to be able to slide the boat on...the wife weighs 48kg and I can pick her up and throw her around (in a nice way)...strapping down would be another issue......(talking about the boat, not the wife now)

More river, estuary tours/fishing - 3yr old and 18mth old. We have a 15ft Fibreglass at home which they both love.

A major trip in 18mths time is planned up to cairns, across to the centre, down to adelaide and back via GOC etc. would be good to take something with us.
