Great forum...quick intro

We like to expand a dream maybe?? ..... currently a Swan owner but if we are patient..:suspicious:

Welcome Paul.we too went from swan to expands.never look back though still help set up a mate with their campervan.enjoy thesite.lots of vans on themarket now after Easter.buyers market that's for sure.cheers.

as sad it is to to say but yes, the Easter trip setup was enough to say - ' time to go Swanny' bloody good vans but with 3 kids it's time to upgrade...

wasn't a bad experience that tipped us over the edge ie. wasn't not in the rain or mud but think it was just maybe one of the following:

hassle of getting the awning setup

hands all dirty rolling awning out (van stored outside)

packing literally everything up so that the roof could close

5 year old sleeping on the converted club lounge, having stuff thrown all over it during the trips

10 & 12 year old girls having to share a bed (..who don't really get on that well as girls often do !)

worrying if the cables are gunna snap (had a 84 Swan and snapped 2 cables - not nice)

no room to move (well, feels like that with 3 kids in the van at the same time)

time to setup

etc etc

so plenty of cons but also there are still heaps of pros for the Swans but we too suffer Expanda-envy evertime we watch anyone rock up with one

hopefully in a few months we'll sort the change over, looking forward to getting lots of info from this site - such a great feel about it

We upgraded from an Eagle to a 17.56 and love it.

SOOOOOOoooooooo easy to set up. You will love the change.
