Hi all!
I'm looking at travelling down to Echuca onEaster weekend as it is to good of an opportunity to go away as I have a picnic day on Tuesday and don't need to be back for work until Wednesday. I was wondering if any have any tips of places to stay preferably free camps. I'm assuming it would be fairly busy during this time. I am looking at arriving Friday and then heading across to Corowa even Albury after 2 or 3nights and have a night or two somewhere else. Any ideas/ info would be great!

Hi there @Dogger, we were in that area a couple of years ago, and found a few free camps along the Murray River (NSW side) about 20 mins drive east of Moama.

We were there just after Christmas and we managed to find a couple of sites for just the 2 vans.

Have a look at Wiki Camps and there are quite a few spots shown on there.

We were right in the rivers edge and it was fantastic.

Between Yarrawonga and Tocumwal, is the best part of the Murray IMHO, beautiful big sandy beaches on almost every bend, and there's also the RACV resort in Cobram.

We've been to Wakiti Creek a few times. Highly recommended.

Thanks. I have been looking at wiki camps but there is so much to choose from and not enough nights to camp. All the sites look great. Hmm... looks like we'll have to do a few trips.
