Hi all, over the christmas break I saw amazing setups of annexes.

Like -

1) An awning that extends outwards from the front of the van and attaches to the existing annexe

2) A double annex

3) Annexes that went around both sides of the van

So my question, does anyone have a double annex as in your normal annex and then an additional one similar to a camper trailer?

Will be looking at doing this to our van and going to the show this weekend so keen on any ideas from others who may have done it before!

Hi mate, each to their own but remember that will add weight to payload. Also you would need a big site for setup, I certainly don't miss setting up all that canvas on camper trailers.....our annexe was about 5x5m.

Cheers.

Can't wait to see pics of some of these Taj Mahal Style annexes - I am aspiring toward standard Annex with a 3x3 Gazebo off the front for outdoor shaded effect. We were in Marimbula Big4 over new years and this seemed to be the Standard...

One thing I do wish we had was a door on the left or right of the Main annex wall rather than the two side walls... Then you could go from your main Private annex area into\under the gazebo (say it it was raining) without having to go round the side

I know the water runs off the gazebo but over xmas in Jarvis Bay - we set my Brothers Gazebo up against the awning and just rolled the awning flap that hangs down at the front with the same part of the gazebo and put some strong clips and it worked a treat - water just ran off the two sides :)

So there you have it - double annex :)

Interesting zero, some one up the coast where we where actually had an oztrail gazebo double one and had done exactly what you mentioned :)!

I am thinking to save hassles I will probably get -

1) Normal annexe

2) Add a room front and rear

3) Gazebo single like you have

That way I can put the front add a room up minus a wall or two and put the bbq in there in there and then put the back add a room on and use that as a room for the kids.

Then the main annexe can be used for the table and food area and the gazebo for the wife and us to relax in.

What I have considered prev iously, was to have an extre roll out on the driver's side of the van, thus setting up the annexe on the door side and still having an awning, particularily when set up for any length of time. This would be great for me at the property we camp on up the river:decision:

My bro-in-law and i have one each and for long stays join together, so a 3x6m common area....pretty cheap these days!
